Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer, it has lauric acid content that can help strengthen your hair and prevent damage to it. It prevent the loss of protein from the hair and protects it from fungal infection such as dandruff.
Massage the coconut oil with your finger into your scalp. Cover your hair with shower cap and leave if for about 3 hours or overnight.
Eggs are great conditioners for weak hairs. They contain protein that reduce split ends and make hair strands stronger.
To make the egg mask, you can do either of these:
Mix the egg with full fat yogurt and almond oil until it becomes creamy. Massage with your fingers into your scalp and leave for about an hour, wash off with a good shampoo.
Mix egg with olive oil and honey, massage with your fingers into your scalp, leave for 30mins to 1 hour, wash off with a good shampoo.
Mix egg with olive oil and coconut oil. Massage with your fingers into your scalp, leave for 30mins to 1 hour, wash off with a good shampoo.
Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid helps which increases blood circulation to the hair scalp. This helps in nourishing and strengthening the hair thereby preventing hair breakage.
Mix equal portions of castor oil and coconut oil, massage into your scalp with your fingers and leave for about 1 to 2 hours and wash with a good shampoo.
Aloe vera contains enzymes called proteolytic. It which repairs dead skin cells on the scalp and also acts as a good conditioner which leaves your hair smooth and shiny. It also promotes hair growth, reduces dandruff thereby preventing itching on the scalp.
Apply this on your hair, massaging into your scalp. Leave for about 30mins and wash away with a good shampoo.
Bananas contain fat, protein, and vitamins, making them very good in strengthening and moisturizing the hair.
Mix ripe bananas with olive oil and honey, apply to your hair, massaging it gently into your scalp. cover up with a shower cap ans leave for about 25mins then wash off.
Onion is rich in sulfur and therefore can be used to encourage the growth of new hair strands.
Mince the onion and mix with coconut or olive oil. Massage the mixture into your scalp and leave it for about an hour. Wash it off gently with a good shampoo.
Garlic is rich in sulphur and has antioxidant and antifungal properties that protects your scalp and hair from fungal infections and breakage.
Mince the garlic, mix with coconut oil or olive oil, store in a cool and dry place for about a week. Apply on your hair, massage gently into the scalp, leave for about an hour and wash off.
Avocado acts as a natural conditioner and prevents hair breakage and damage. It has nourishing properties due to the presence of vitamins and minerals.
Mix avocado and egg yolk until it forms a paste, add some butter ( optional ). Massage the paste gently into the scalp, leave for about 30mins and rinse of using a good shampoo.
Shea butter has a high moisturizing properties to protect your hair from breakage. It also has anti-inflammatory and hydrating properties to ensure a healthy scalp and can used as a natural conditioner.
Apply the shea butter on your hair and massage into the scalp gently.
Carrot oil is an antibacterial and antifungal oil gotten from the seed of carrot and it has healing properties that can help deal with a dry scalp and breakage-prone hair.It contains vitamins A and E and beta-carotene which are essential for healthy hair.
Apply the oil in your hair, massaging gently into the scalp, leave for about 2hours or cover with shower cap and leave overnight. wash off with shampoo.
